Qualty Red & Rose Wines by Maria Faretra
Temèria, Malbech rosé, Puglia IGT 2024
Temèria is inspired by the idea of recklessness, the courage of those who pursue their dreams without fear of failure. A name that expresses the desire to produce a great wine without settling for the safe and obvious. The label design alternates relief and artistic features: the portrait of a young 19th-century woman, representing Malbech’s connection to our territory, features a tear at eye level that reveals the bottle’s naked contents, something yet unseen, something that must be experienced. A symbolic reference to the need to break with the patriarchal idea of women as unfree to express themselves, today as then, but also the representation of a tenacity that goes beyond the “already seen” and broadens horizons with a personal vision, showcasing the essence of a great wine.

The Talking Stones, Primitivo, Puglia IGT 2023
Le Pietre Parlanti draws inspiration from the land that gives birth to this prized Primitivo. Limestone soils where the bedrock reveals itself easily, without going deep. A conformation that in the past had relegated this area to pastoralism, before mechanical crushing opened up new opportunities in viticulture. Despite the tireless work of large machinery, the soul of the Capitanata continues to emerge, with boulders constantly emerging, as if eager to tell their own story. The land wants to express itself, and these are speaking stones. The label design, which combines embossed elements and artistic strokes, creates a dynamic and vital image, enriched by runic symbols that evoke the primordial elements: sun, earth, water, fire, and air.

Sumptuous, Nero di Troia rosé, Puglia IGT 2024
Sontuosa is the portrait of a regal figure, with delicately undefined features, suggesting neither a specific gender nor sexuality: the lips are left unrepresented, as an act of interpretive freedom. A small tear at the height of the mouth reveals the contents of the bottle, symbolizing an experience yet to be lived, impossible to tell with words alone. Sontuosa refuses to be confined by conventional definitions. Just like Nero di Troia, which science reveals to be a red grape variety born from the crossing of Bombino Bianco and Ancient Pink Grape, this wine seeks to celebrate the wonders of nature, transforming genetic diversity into sensory and cultural richness. Each sip of Sontuosa is a glimpse of the Capitanata landscape, of vineyards cared for with passion, of hands patiently picking selected grapes. It is a wine that encapsulates the regal nature of the Apulian land, the resilience of those who cultivate it, and the transmission of genuine knowledge from generation to generation. Each bottle tells a universal story, that of those who have the courage to be themselves and to live their uniqueness with pride and simplicity.
